I have a new plasma TV that I bought to fit inside my armoire. There is a pull-out swivel in the armoire, so that I can pull out the TV and it won't get overheated.
The TV has an attached pedestal which adds about 3" to the TV's height. I can fit the TV inside of the armoire with the pedestal attached, if I slant the TV. But when it sits on the pull-out swivel, it can't pull out because it is about an 1" too high and gets caught on the door frame.
I was thinking about detaching the pedestal and attaching the TV to a piece of plywood about the size of the pedestal it came with. That way the plywood would add less than 1" to the TV's height. But the plywood isn't heavy enough to support the TV's weight. Any ideas would be appreciated!
