Troubleshooting Maytag Washer

Washer quit working after filling up. Blew a fuse (in-line) about a month ago. Replaced and worked till now. Followed some DIY instructions, on troubleshooting. So, I cheked the Lid switch so far ( and fuse is good by the way )on switch 4-wires pink orange black white. one switch i believe open-close pink on 1 side n orange on other side. lid closed 0 ohms lid open I guess its a large I or looks like a 1 ( infinity ? ). other switch black on 1 side white on other. Checked w/ door closed and open, both reads were the I or 1 ( infinity ? ) got no 0 ohms read. Article said if any infinity reads switch is bad. Just want to know if I did everything right. And if the switch is bad. Any suggestions> Thanks
