Troubleshooting gas burner

One of the burners, the large center one, one my Bosch gas cooktop won't light itself. I can easily light it with a lighter, so there's definitely gas flowing. It clicks, and I can see a spark from the igniter, but it never actually lights. This seems like a very simple mechanism, so I'm not clear on what could be going wrong. What should I do to troubleshoot this? The rest of the burners light fine.

Troubleshooting gas burner

Clean all the burner holes and the gas tube leading up to the burner.

Troubleshooting gas burner

that would either be a weak ignitor or most likely the 3 little holes directly below or above your ignitor are plugged. Get a pin and clean them out.

Troubleshooting gas burner

Like said already clean the holes. you can also take a bit of emery cloth and clean the igniter. Some models have a flash tube, they need to be properly positioned as well.

If that doesn't fix it, Most likely the spark igniter. Just because something sparks does not mean it will ignite.
