TP Valve discharge
One of my water heaters discharged water the other evening. The cold water coming in was then turned off. I turned it back on the next day. The TP has continued to drip water, though the water is not hot. Hot water runs from the sink.
My understanding is that it can be pressure, heat, or a bad valve. Since the dripping water was not hot, does that indicate a bad valve?
Hot water came out of the sink, while the valve continued to drip, suggesting it wasnt pressure, because running the hot water would reduce the pressure.
The dripping water isnt hot, which I am assuming means its not a temperature issue.
Is my logic correct? Any insight would be great, thank you.
