Sony Trinitron

Trying to hook up a DVD player to an older model Sony Trinitron. Can't get a color picture. DVD player works fine, color picture, with other tvs. Can't figure it out.

Color pics need a wider bandwidth than B&W because there is more information in a color picture.

If your connecting cable has a lot of capacitance it could be limiting your bandwidth. Try a very short cable.
