Side By side refrigerator

Hello there. Do hope you can provide me with some info. My side by side is not circulating any air inside. The frig side is warm hear nothing. The freezer side is thawing items out slowly. Frost had built up on the back panel.
Took everything out, and defrosting panel now. Have been told their is a computer board in the frig, to check and see if we can tell what needs replacing. But sounded like it was the fan. Can you tell me how to get to the fan. This side by side looks new. It was here two years ago when we moved in. I take bottom front panel off and clean it often. The back panel not as often, due to a little heavy pulling it out, and men not around.

Is there some way we could order the part on the internet? There is no appliance store in town.

Thanks a mill. Have a marvelous weekend.

SuzyQ,

search the makers site on line if schematic drawings can't be found on the unit. Most have a good trouble shooting section.

could be fan / defrost timer / or heater system problem.

Good luck....

Yes I do think it is the system. The automatic defrost isn't working either. Is this pricy?

Bob where is the schematic drawing located? Behind the panel in freezer?

two common areas they are found is bottom front taped near vent grate or bottom at the rear behind removable panel.

Timer $20 to $35 or more other stuff lots more. consider replace with new unit from a scratch & dent wholesale outfit "sears outlet" if not timer or fan.

To properly defrost you will need to remove back panel of freezer.

Did you not find info on makers site?

I would doubt it would be there.
