side-by-side icemaker problem

Wifey put a package on top of the ice cubes in a side-by-side and I found a solid block of ice in the bottom of the freezer. Evidently that package interfered with the arm operation and allowed water to keep running. I moved the arm and the maker eventually ejected the cubes into the bin. Problem is no water flow now to refill tray. Fridge only 2 months old. Possible fuse or some other protection which kept the water from running forever?
