Secondary Lint Trap Leak

I currently live in a condo with a W/D room on the second floor. There is a secondary lint trap, and the screen sits inside a compartment above the dryer. This compartment is not sealed and therefore leaks moist, lint-filled air into the condo.

Is there a solution to this? Are there secondary lint trap compartment doors that have a latching system to ensure it remains shut during operation?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Secondary? Do you also have one inside the dryer?

In either case, it sort of sounds like you might have a blockage in the exhaust....especially if you have a lot of air coming out the seams.

Even if you are on the right track, you will still get run over if you just sit there.
