Roper washer drum moves

Whenever my older Roper washer go on spin cycle the drum moves to the right and makes a loud banging sound like its off balance. I have checked the springs and they are all intact. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Make sure it's level. Make sure the support system is ok, springs can lose tension and still 'look' ok. Most importantly, make sure your clothes are evenly spread out in the drum. That's pretty much the only things that will cause the washing machine to bang.
