Replacing Drop-in with Slide-in Range will it fit?

I ordered a Frigidaire 30 slide-in #FES3555ES that will arrive in a week, to replace a Westinghouse drop-in # KD220GDD2 (could be KD220G002) I pulled the drop-in out some to see what I would have to do to the bottom and found out my cabinet opening as well as the cut out is only 29 3/8 not 30 . Will the new slide-in fit?

To make sure you should call your sales person.

The slide-in does not have side panels so it may fit.

I checked with them and they can only wait to see when it comes in:eek: but it is built for a standard 30" open but so is the one I am taken out.

Thank to all ! Yes it will fit in as little as 29" opening with option kit. I was led to Frigidaire online Installation Instructions.

TL yeah you should have no problem with it fitting in your previous space. You may have to do a little electric work though. Most of the drop ins are hard wired. Most slide ins have plugs.
