We have a refrigerator and freezer in the garage; the 'fridge will be 25 years old this fall, and the freezer, which was was used in two other garages before we got it, is about 30 years old. I changed the door gaskets on both of them a few years ago, only from an efficiency standpoint, but other than that, they have worked flawlessly, with no modifications.

Gators prefer to be in swamps... re-fried or not.

The only kit I know of is to plug it in and see if it works. I have one that has been in my unattached shop since 1996 now and still keeping things cool in the fridge and frozen in the freezer. David
