refrig/freezer stopped cooling
 

I have a frigidair side by side model frs20zrg series r134a.Last night I woke up smelling something burning.I could not find the problem.Today I noticed my freezer has defrosted and both sides are not cooling.There is still power because I can hear a humming sound and the light is on.Where to start looking for the problem.Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Under warranty, how old? A burning smell is rarely a good sign. If it's not cooling at all you may have burned out the compressor. Those repairs are costly. Weigh your options, it may be time for replacement.

The refrigerator is at least 10 yrs old.I can hear it trying to cycle.It will click on for a few seconds and click off.It is trying to cool but failing.Do you think it could be the run capaciter?

it is either the start relay on the compressor or the compressor itself, since you had a burning smell I would suspect the realy
