Refridgerator broke down

The Ferret Newbie   Join Date: Jan 2010 Posts: 2	Refridgerator broke down My Amana Refridgerator is broken. Model number is P1190903W. I got some advice that the coil needs to be cleaned. Trouble is that I do not know where the coil is at or what it looks like. Can anyone help?

The Ferret Newbie   Join Date: Jan 2010 Posts: 2	Refridgerator broke down I did a little hunting on the web and came across this. http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-Refrigerator-Coils So I did clean the coil and it was a messy job indeed. Its still not working. The fan is not running and the coil does not heat up like its supposed to. What next?

The fan under the unit is wired in parralel with the compressor. if the compressor runs the fan should run. Could be a bad temp control. Could be a lot of things.

The fan under the bottom near the coils should be running if the compressor is running. If the compressor is running and the fan isn’t more than likely the fan is bad.
