Refridgerator brand

Well, the Mrs is starting to make noise about a new fridge. It seems that many of the repair threads I read start out with "brand X is a POS". So, what brand(s) are quality these days? I know a lot of stuff comes off the same line and is just different badging i.e. JennAir & Maytag etc...

If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.

Refridgerator brand

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold about a year ago. At the time it was ranked very high in Consumer Reports. It runs well so far and the ice machine works great with no problems. One issue that I have had is that it makes very odd noises at times when draining water.

Buy what you like and take out the extended warranty. I don't care what you buy, from a $400.00 Fridgidare to a $14,000.00 Sub Zero they all have thier shage of problems. For every bad one there are hundreds of the same model with no problems.
