range vent


Can I run a range vent hoizontally about 9 feet through an outside wall,and will it be eficient?

you can either run the duct out through the roof or through an outside wall. if you go out through the wall you will need a wall cap for your ducting. if you go out through the roof you will need a flashing and a vent cap. make sure to seal your outside duct cap with exterior caulk and if you go with the roof install use roofing tar to seal the flashing and make sure to seal your duct joints so you dont have air leaks with either polyurethane foam,duct tape or silver foil tape.
