pool of water from refrig-freezer

People,

have an old , probably 1978 side by side refrig-freezer. GE Mod # TFF 20RB. Hope thats the right # cuz no other ID anywhere at all.

Still performs great after all these years!! (probably not made in China in 1978). But it now develops a puddle of water on the floor, right at the front left corner, seems to be seeping out of the front through the door gasket. And when you open the freezer, there is a thick plate of ice on the bottom of the freezer compasrtment. Seems to be forming from the way back of the freezer wall, then somehow it migrates to the front, where then, maybe it oozes/"defrosts" to drip out the front base.

Any idea what causes this?

Thanks
