Overflowing Washer
 

Why won't my washing stop filling? It just fills and overflows. Model RCA YBXR1060V1WW

a few differnet things that can cause this. First thing to check is the water valve itself, if you can get the machine to stop filling by turning the power off to the machine then the problem is not the valve itself. Second would be to get access to the pressure switch and check it.

Check if the Pressure Switch Hose came off first.

I've sometimes found the hose to the pressure switch gets clogged and won't allow any pressure up the hose.

Find the preasure switch and see if the little hose is full of water. It will be fuss because their is water in the tub. Pump all the water out. Now take off the hose. Let all the water drain out of the hose. Now reconect to switch. The switch works off of air to the switch and not water filed hose. If the hose is cracked their would be water around it . Just look and see. Just do the above. If you had a long hose the same size you could hood up to the swtich and blow air you should i belive here the switch activate. After the above is done and still not working the switch could be bad . The switch is on when no water is in the tub. Now when preasure is enough the switch open's and shut's off the water valve. good luck
