Oven door stuck

My friend has a 15-20 year old Kennmore oven and someone used oven cleaner & somehow messed it up and now the door won't open. Latch moves but still won't open. Tried oven heat and settings but no results. Does anyone know how I can get the door open?

iirc.. if you lift the top burner section (as for cleaning)
there will be access to the lock mechanism.

Oven door stuck

may have to access the lock mechanism from the rear panel, just depending on who made the stove

Oven door stuck

Thanks everyone. sorry to be so late. found out that the problem was nothing but two screws on the bottom of the door were not there someone somehow removed them, why? I'll never know. That caused the door to tilt and the lock would not move. A little pry up and to the side with the door did the trick. Anyway something like that. Very embarrsing.
