Noisy vacuum

I have a Hoover Windtunnel series vacuum cleaner model UH70240 bought last August. In the last few weeks it has become extremely loud when used. It still cleans but you almost need earplugs to use it. The dirt cup is emptied, the filters are clean, the brushroll is clean, and the belt looks fine. Any idea what may be causing this?

Also, today, the cup at the bottom that holds the hepa filter comes open when the vacuum is turned on. I'm thinking this might be unrelated as it just started today, but I don't know why this is happening.

As usual, any suggestions will be appreciated.

Noisy vacuum

The impeller blade may have a crack in it. They are air raid siren loud when they get cracked.
