no water in dishwasher

Hello, My kenmore 665.1652000 dishwasher ran a cycle last night but the rinse didnt work. I remember hearing the pump running louder than normal but didnt think much about it. When my wife checked it this morning the drying cycle was still on after a few hours and the dished were not rinsed.
I checked the water valve under the sink and it was on.
I think I need to pull the dw out and verify water to the unit. If so, probably check the fill valve?
Any idea what needs to be checked?
Thanks.

I think your missing part of the model #.

How did you check the valve?
How is the connection made where it connects to the supply lines?
