No heat from dryer

Hello all, I am new to this forum, but I am hopeful that someone may have knowledge of this problem. My electric GE dryer (model#DBSR453EB3WW) stopped generating any heat in the automatic modes about 6 months ago, it would however get hot in the timed mode. Yesterday, it stopped heating all together. Wiring good, no tripped breaker etc. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I am by no means an electrician, but feel confident, with some guidance, i could locate and switch out, say... a thermostat or something like that.

do you have a multimeter to check voltage and resistance. First confirm 240 volts to machine, then ohm out your element. I'm pretty confident that your first problem has nothing to do with your current problem
