New Member with gas dryer questions

Hi everyone, I just signed up. I am a DIY person with many years experience, even worked in the house construction trade and learned stuff from my mechanical engineer dad. I am looking for some basic information on what size black pipe to run for a natural gas dryer in my home? Art

1/2" should be sufficient thats all I have run in the past to 2 different gas dryer installs one LPG the other Natural Gas. How far do you need to run the line to get it to the dryer? Be sure you use black pipe and fittings. Buy or rent a pipe threader and pipe cutter. Makes thing a lot easier.
