new hot water heater,lowered hot water pressure

i installed a new Richmond gas hot water heater, afterwards, my hot water pressure is much lower than the cold water,whats up with that?

Don't know! What did you do different? New valves? Pipe downsize to save money? Partially closed valve? Loosened debris inside pipe?

how old are your water pipes? old metal ones? I,ve seen them so built up with crud that I couldn't fit a pencil in the pipe. If this is the case new water piping is needed.
