New cooling and heating system and cant get temp below 82 degrees

Local family owned company in stalled a Lennox 13 seer rating with performance level equal to 14 seer and new furnace. I am in Roanoke, Va and for the past 10 days temperatures 95 to 103 degrees..As another posted issue I am good til the temp goes up outside then with my digital thermostat set for 74 inside temperature stays at 82 til the sun goes down. Had techs come out this morning and said they bumped things up a notch and said my problem really is lack of proper attic insulation. Granted I probably need more but not sure there is not another issue going on - the attic insulation was not checked or mentioned when the sales agent came out in March or when the system was installed.

Check the square footage of the area being cooled and see if the BTU'S of the unit installed is appropriate.
