need to lower my ceiling fan

I need to lower my ceiling fan using a longer downrod. No problem. But how do I replace the wires with longer ones?

need to lower my ceiling fan

Thanks JBFAN!!!

I found the following on lowes.com for $3.98.

Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Wire Extension Kit
Item #: 2648 | Model #: FMP10

The builder put the fan too near the ceiling. So the fan just doesn't blow very much. With a longer downrod and the wiring extention kit I'll be set when the hot summer hits.

Thanks again JBFAN!!
