Need to know the circuit breaker requirement


Got a new stove and the label is this:

120/240V , 60Hz: 11.9kw
120/208V , 60hZ: 8.9kw

ac only 60Hz

Trying to determine the required circuit breaker size

Amps X volts = watts

I get 50A @240V

Check the manual that came with the stove. It should also tell you what gauge wire to use.

Look at the nail, not the hammer. Watch the fence, not the blade.
If you hook your thumb over your belt you won't hit it with the hammer or leave it layin on the saw table.

49.58 amps @ 240V is what I get. Is this for the entire unit? It sounds about right for a typical 240V stove.
