Napoleon fireplace issue

I have a Napoleon model B36DFP fireplace. There is a remote control unit that turns operates the stove during normal power conditions. When restarting the stove this year, the remote does start the stove. The manual overide (in the event of power loss) does start it. The remote receiver does not seem to be receiving the power from the romote transmitter. There is power at the receptacle and I replaced the batteries in the remote transmitter. Any thoughts?
