Maytag Bravos pump breaks from pocket change-help!
I have a Maytag Bravos washing machine. Money keeps getting in the pump. Its driving me crazy. I don't know how it gets in there. Then the pump cracks and I fix it with epoxy. Now I need a new pump but it is, apparently, not available any more. What can I do to replace the pump and how is the money getting into the pump. I can not afford a new washer. I am desperate.

#1 Check all pockets before doing wash.
If you just type the make model# on Google I'll bet there's at least 100 sites where you can buy that pump. Have you contacted Maytag and asked? |
I did find it on Ebay.
My main question is, isn't there protection against change going into the pump? I don't understand how its getting in there. |
Bravo pumps are readily available, should not be an issue. If you leave things in your pockets they will end up in the pump. Like I tell all my customers, CLEAN YOUR POCKETS BEFORE EVERY LOAD. There is no type of filter or protection to elimate this problem.
