Mastervac 6.5 gal vacuum

I have almost zero suction. I have tried without filter, so not that. There is nothing inside blocking. The air from the blower seems rather hot to me.This is a new-to-me vac. It was used once before to remove some water in a basement. Any suggestions ?

Mastervac 6.5 gal vacuum

Why not contact Master Vac?
I would think it has to be a seal leak or plugged up suction hose.
