LG Ice Maker Not Working

The ice maker in our 3 year old refrigerator quit. We noticed water leaking from the front and when we checked the ice bin it was melting so it wasn't cold enough to keep the ice frozen and now it won't make ice at all. Anyone know how to fix the problem or do I have to call a service man.

I had a similar problem just this week, except the freezer worked but not the fridge. Mine was thankfully still under extended warranty. The repair tech that came out removed some cover in the freezer (near the vents?) and defrosted the frozen parts with a blow dryer. We made sure nothing was blocking the vents from pumping out cool air (too much food packed around the vents) and within a day we were up and running again. It's a temporary fix. He said something was wrong with the circuit board & ordered us a new one. But it's free to attempt that on your own anyway.
