Everything works fine...stove burners, broiler, electronic keypad.
The oven stopped working, no smell of gas. I tried flicking the main house fuse, no luck. tried the gas line, but the stoves are working so I dont think it is that either.
I think it is something with the ignitor or the burner itself, but cannot confirm. I tried playing around with the piece that allows to increase/decrease flame size for the oven burner located underneath the oven (but it was pointless because there is just not flame at all...cold to the touch). Tried to use a match, still no luck.
Which part do I need to buy, and can i install or do I need a pro?
You aren't going to light the oven with a match. Your oven has an glow bar igniter. It has probably burnt out, it does happen.
Can you change it yourself, yes. Should you, probably not. Don't take offense but "playing" with the air shutters wasn't a good idea and the oven burner will likely need to be adjusted for the proper flame.
Any parts store should be able to get you a new igniter for about $70. It shouldn't take a "pro" that long to install and you'll also get a warranty with it and the piece of mind of knowing the oven has been adjusted correctly.

does the ignitor turn red when you turn on the oven, if not the ignitor is probably bad. I hate it when when homeowners try to fix their own appliances before they call me, 10 times out of 10 they cause more problems by trying to "fix" it themselves. Costs me more time and them more money.
