KitchenAid icemaker hook up? Braided SS or Copper??

So I want to hook up my ice maker, the valve on the wall is an Oatey 12k icemaker box valve with what looks to be a 3/8" thread with a brass nut and a compression ring. The 3/8" braided Stainless line threads onto this valve. Can I just use the SS line instead of using the 1/4" copper line and the compression ring? I think the SS line would hold up better??

yes, use the braided line it has more flex and won't kink
