Kitchenaid icemaker

2 problems
broke off the icemaker shutoff wire and the icemaker freezes up and will not dump the ice.
Can it be fixed or do I replace it?

Kitchenaid icemaker

If it won't harvest, there are three parts that could be bad, the motor, thermostat, or mold heater. Best thing to do is buy a Whirlpool ice maker kit for about $60, install the icemaker mechanism and you'll have a nice extra bin plus tubing and a solenoid valve.
