Kenmore Refigerator door handle

Hello
I my Niece has a 1998 Kenmore side by side refrigerator.5782791/ 253-5466340-A
Her husband broke the handle off the freezer door. It looks like a three peice
plastic handle and the middle gripping section is what is broke.
Has anyone replaced this handle? Is it rather trickey or just a simple snap and screw system.

The top decorative piece slides up or pops out to reveal a screw.

The bottom decorative piece slides down or pops out to reveal a screw.

Now you can remove the center section and replace it.
