Default Kenmore Portable Clothes Washer ?'s

Hello all!

I hope i have better luck with these questions i have in regards to my portable clothes washer.

1) The small metal "L" attachment (where the water enters the machine via the hose) has a little leak. Id have to buy an entire home assembly, says the repair people. Is there a fix? Or should I bite the bullet.

2) While the washer's working, it squeeks as the drum turns (aggitator too). Seems to do it more in cold water. Should i grease a bearing? Does it need maintenance?

Thanks!

sears has a website entirely devoted to servicing their kenmore appliances. they offer all the parts for sale too.

i just bought a pump for my kenmore portable washer but it didn't solve my problem. now i am just going to throw the entire thing in the garbage and buy a full size.

good luck with yours!
