install elec. cooktop

Older countertop allows only max. 19 inch depth. We desire a 30 inch product width but all of the 30 inch induction cooktops have approx. 20 plus inch depths. Are there any cooktops out there which would accommodate our required dimensions.

I don't know if our cooktop is the induction type (not sure what that is exactly), but the unit is less than 6 inches deep. It's a General Electric.

Is there some way the cabinet could be modified to give you the needed depth?
