Infrared heater shuts off

Got one of these infra heaters. 6 element. When I have the thing on either high or low, it shuts off completely sometimes.......then power comes back on in about a minute or two. Seems to be some sort of overheat protection deal. I also noticed that while it sits in the off position, with power to it, there is some slight amount of heat still coming out. Anything I can do to repair it myself or are these things just throw aways. Thanks.

Infrared heater shuts off

No model #, No make, no picure or web site?
Is this something you just bought?
Why not contact the manufacture?

Infrared heater shuts off

From what I can see there is a filter and a blower motor in this unit. Have you opened it up to clean it? One thing about these small heaters is they are great vacuum cleaners as well. They suck in all kinds of dust and clog the filters.
