Ice Maker makes Blocks of ice
I have a GE refrigerator with ice maker.....starting from scratch the ice maker makes the first batch of ice....then it fills with water but overflows and the water falls on the pristine batch of ice and freezes into a solid block of ice ..... so to make ice you have to catch the ice as soon as it dumps otherwise you need an ice pick to break up the block....
I had a repairman replace the water valve and it did not fix it......still overfills....any thoughts....?
PS.....and where do you find ignitors for a gas stove that do not cost $34 each - that is crazy....!! Had to replace a broken one - the price is ridiculous.....
Rick, It might be simpler and less expensive to replace the ice maker then keep swapping misc. parts
Talk to the ice maker, let it know you are upset and considering replacing it.
Turn it off for a few days. If it misbehaves after that...well
