How to deflect heat from baseboard heater under cabinetry?

(Love this forum. I appreciate the fast responses on my other posts today).

I have unavoidable situation of 500W baseboard heaters close under some cabinetry in my hobby room....like 16" clearance.

Now these are not the only heaters in the room and all of them will not be "blasting" as it were, but I would appreciate suggestions on ways to deflect the heat so that it may rise around the cabinets.....

I was thinking of some of that reflective bubble wrap that I have left over from wrapping my hot water tank...applied to the underside of the dispay cabinets....or would reflective sheet metal be best....

or what other suggestions are there?

I have even though about replacing the baseboards with some kind of small radient heaters above the cabinets (where there is more clearance) but have not researched these products yet.

Is it plastic wrap ?? if so, plastic bubble wrap may get too hot. melt/fire. I would look at a heat shield like is used on fire places. you can get them in brass or black. I don't know the length you need. Look at hd or lowe's

the insulating effect of the bubles would be a bit pointless in your situation. some shiny sheet metal will do a good job of reflecting the heat
