How to clean microwave connections

I have a Whirlpool microwave that keeps coming up with Door and Plate error messages that stop it from working.

I understand that I need to take this apart and clean the areas where these sensors are. This is how it was repaired last time.

Does anyone have instructions on how this should be done?

Many thanks

How to clean microwave connections

Ordinarily I'm more than willing to dive into repairing any appliance. But this sounds like sensors designed to make sure the door is sealed properly and not microwaving you and your family. If you have the proper calibrated microwave detector then go for it. But without that there's no way I'd mess with trying to repair a potentially "leaky" mcirowave.
