Hooking dishwasher up to Washing machine supply line

Hello All,

I'm in a unique situation. I'm installing a dishwasher for the first time in my home so there is no hot water supply line to feed to the dishwasher. However, the previous homeowner actually had her washing machine upstair in the kitchen (i think she wasn't able to walk downstairs as she was getting up in age). So I have a hot and cold water supply underneath my sink that are just shut off, instead of having to rough in all new piping (which I would have to pay a plumber for) I was wondering if I can just use the hot water line that is just sitting there unused.

The issue is, it looks like the fittings are different sizes, meaning the water line's thread fits a standard washing machine hose and my dishwasher's seems a little smaller (3/8 if i'm not mistaken). Is there a hose that has two different threads on either side, one to fit a standard washing machine line and the other side to fit into the dishwasher? Or am I going about this all the wrong way...

Thanks for any help.

Hooking dishwasher up to Washing machine supply line

I think this may be it. So with this kit I should be able to do this:

Dishwasher -> 3/8" elbow -> hose -> 3/4" adapter -> existing water supply line from washing machine

Please let me know if that works with this.
