Help... Newer GE electric front load dryer too hot!

My wife a I have a GE front load style electric clothes dryer, about two years old. My wife burnt/melted some clothes on the low heat cycle. I already made sure the exhaust is free and clear. It does not take long to dry, just too hot. Model #gtdp300em1ws

Any ideas or help would be great
