Grind and Brew coffeemakers
It's a small appliance, I know...
Has anyone tried one? They sound grand, no more grinding beans for fresh tasting coffee, but the Amazon ratings on many models are so-so. Everytime I go to Costco, though, the cuisinart model stares me right in the face. |

Grind and Brew coffeemakers
I've had two...one I paid about $120.00 for and later a gift. I think they were Braun. They had a timer so it would go off and grind, then brew coffee while I was waking up. Nice for a few months. They clog and the brew basket would overflow and make a huge mess. I'm not rough on most items I own but I seem to go through coffee makers! Right now I've had a cheapy bare bones Mr. Coffee for about three years. The concept is great, cool to have, but waste of money in the end.

I have had the cuisinart model since Christmas. I have to clean the grinder, basket and make sure the grinder is dry. Great coffee, just takes a couple of minutes to clean and dry. Was a gift.

We've also had a Cuisinart for a couple of years now and it. Yes you have to clean it and the grinding have t dry but it makes great coffee. The only problem we have had is the grinding basket gets hard to remove. We have replaced it with a new basket and it didn't help. Must be the brass bushing inside. That said we will buy another when this one dies.

I friend of mine has a Saeco and he loves it. It's a little pricey though. I think it was a little over 1K.

A $1000 coffee maker, hehehe, wow he must love his coffee. We have a standard style cuisart at work. Those are quality products, they last. However I did see a Hamilton Beach that you push your cup against a button and it filled it right up. Coffeemakers.com has various brand you can read up on.
