GE washer makes noise when running, only one month old

Bought a GE 3.6 cu ft 24 cycle high efficiency washer about a month ago. Its makes a whine noise when the motor runs to turn the tub during the wash cycle. Is this normal, should I call a repair man? It has a one year parts/labor limited warranty, not sure if they would cover the service call. Bought thru Best Buy, model GTWN4950LWS

any advise would be appreciated

That washer mostly makes clunking noises that seem unusual. it will whine as it ramps up in spin. if you're concerned, call for warranty service so the tech can hear what you describe. yeah no charge first year. to avoid them trying to blow you off when you call [they're looking at a computer screen check list-trying to avoid cust' education calls]-tell them it just won't start but power is on. when tech comes explain actual problem.

That whine noise on ramp up sounds to be what it is doing, you say that is normal?
I can live with it, just wanted to verify it wasnt broken,

That drum spins about twice as fast as a top load if that's what your used to. And yes it makes more noise.
