GE - refrigerator section freezing


Friend has a GE, about 10 YO, that the reefer section is freezing. What part of the control is likely to cause that? A bad temp sensor or perhaps thermostat? I don't have the model number but wll try to find out and post in case there are known common issues with his model.

GE - refrigerator section freezing


Model number will help but more than likely the damper that allows the air from the freezer into the refrigerator is stuck open or there is a bad temperature sensor in the fridge. The exact cause depends on the model, side by side, top freezer...

Thanks, guys, I'll pass this info along an hopefully get the model and configuration. Alls I can recall is last time I saw it it was full of beer!
