GE Ice Maker Repair

Hope this post will be okay in plumbing…couldn't find an appliance category. I have a GE monogram free standing ice maker that is no longer making ice. When I turn it on, the water runs through its paces but does not freeze and create ice. I am handy and would like to replace the part myself but am not sure which part it is. Any advice out there on how to proceed and trouble shoot? Thanks

could be many things. Is the compressor running, is the fan motor running? Could be low on refrigerant.
