Ge (gss20gew)

I have a GE side by side (GSS20GEW) and I am having the ice machine freeze and build up at the top where the water inlet tube is, above the freeze tray, and then leaking into the back of the freezer interfering with the fan, it seems to be putting out too much water, on outside of the ice machine on the left side there is a + and - plastic circle, it look adjustable but has no teeth to indicate so, I don't know if this is for a feature my machine doesn't have or this is actually adjustable. Maybe someone knows if there is a way to change the amount of water it releases, or what my problem actually is.. or if its something worse like a bad water valve..

that is correct, that is a fill adjustment. give it a half turn to the - side. wait 24 hours maybe another turn will be required. do not turn more than 1 revolution total, any more than that and you'll have to replace the icemaker.

Adjustment

Ok, the fill adjustment, thats effects how often ice is dumped or how often water is released into the tray? Basically as of now, - to me is allow less water into the tray, + is allow more water for larger cubes..

Adjustments continued..

Okay, so far I have turned it down alot, I believe I have a better controlled drip. I could not wait for 24hrs for it would definatly freeze up the way the water was comming out, I had to stand and count between drips (about 7 seconds at first), I would have had to defrost again if I had left it the way it was..
