ge gas dryer

the ignitor doesnt come on. I checked the 2 outlet thermostats and both closed.the inlet thermostat is really hard to get to and didnt check it. the reading on ignitor is 145 ohms. is that a good reading, so thats not burned open.I cant check voltage to ignitor because drum will turn and it is not in tact because front of dryer is off and holds drum in place

any ideas appreciated
thanks Paul

The resistance should be less than 60 ohms but it is brand specific. Most likely a bad ignitor.

you need to verify you have juice @ the ignitor. pull the front off, unhook the belt from the pulley, pull the drum out. Check voltage to ignitor.

Check back.

find the thermal fuse and check it, I'm pretty sure you'll find its bad.
