GE fridge intermittent cooling issues.

Last night I thought the fridge was a little warm, this morning the ice was melted. The fan was running. A few hours later and it's working again.

This has happened twice before, once last month and again last summer. This is an older unit (TBF17DB).

All three times I started shopping for a new fridge and just before heading out to buy one the thing starts working again.

so are you saying the fan was running when it was warm? How about the compressor?
