gas log only half lights

A friend of mine called me and asked me why only half of his gas fire place would light.I didn't have a clue except for some blockage.He thought the pilot should be turned up,I didn't think that was the problem.I haven't seen it I don't think it would have two pilots one for each side.Any clues would be appreciated.I'm going to post in another forum also.

I didn't have a clue except for some blockage.
